PARIS — JULY 5, 2016 — Rubicon Project (NYSE: RUBI), which operates one of the largest advertising marketplaces in the world, today announced it has named Julien Gardès Managing Director of Continental Europe and MENA.
Since joining Rubicon Project in 2011, Gardès has taken on increasing levels of responsibility and management, most recently serving as Managing Director of Southern Europe and MENA. During his tenure Gardès has spearheaded business development and product evangelisation originally in France, before expanding his efforts into Southern Europe and more recently the MENA region.
Gardès’ proven business acumen across vastly different markets will be integral in his expanded role overseeing Northern Europe which includes both emerging and mature markets. Before joining Rubicon Project Gardès was Head of Technology Sales at WPP-owned 24/7 Real Media and served as Co-President of TASC, The Ad Serving Club, in France. Prior to that, Julien worked at ValueClick Media as Head of Operations and Publishers, where he defined the company’s strategy for online display advertising formats.
Gardès’ new remit will include strengthening the company’s position throughout continental Europe in key operational markets in Northern Europe including Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Poland as well as in Southern Europe, comprising of France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal and more. Gardès will remain based in Paris and will report directly into Harry Patz, Jr., Chief Revenue Officer of Rubicon Project.
